By ROBERT LAURIE - If we want to win the fight, we have to take back the schools.

Every day we're presented with a new example of modern education indoctrinating our kids.  Normally, it's gun control and global warming.  Today, however, it's 9/11.

According to a report in the Washington Times, 5th graders in Corpus Christi Texas are being shown a video and then being tested on its contents.  One of the questions on the quiz reads “Why might the United States be a target for terrorism?”

The possible multiple choice answers are:

A: Other people just don't like Americans
B: Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere.
C: Terrorists hate everyone
D: None of the above

If you answered "B: Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere,” give yourself a gold star and move to the head of the class.

One student's mother, Kara Sands, is outraged, telling local TV station KRISTV that “I’m not going to justify radical terrorists by saying we did anything to deserve that; over 3,000 people died.”

Her son was also marked wrong on a worksheet covering the Bill of Rights, because he refused to classify food and medicine as Constitutional rights.

“[My son] got marked wrong, because it is, it is our responsibility for shelter, it’s our responsibility for food for medicine, it’s not the government’s responsibility,” she said. “When I teach my children that you have to work hard and you have to earn a living and they go to school and learn something different, I absolutely take issue with that.”

The tests have been given at Flour Bluff Independent School and a group of parents plan to bring the matter up at the next school board meeting.  Good for them.

Here's the test.  Notice the perfect 100% at the top of the page....
