If you're a person in the U.S., you probably didn't watch the Megyn Kelly/Alex Jones interview ...or did you?
You can tell the Megyn Kelly/Alex Jones interview was fake by examining the position of the sun in relation to the reflection in Kelly's sunglasses. Clearly, the entire thing was filmed on a soundstage by Stanley Kubrick, who we all know is not really dead.
Still, the network seemed to hope that the controversy surrounding the piece would generate some curiosity. Usually, that's how it works. If enough people freak out about something, you can be pretty sure there will be eyeballs in front of screens.
For the Jones piece, outrage fell primarily into three categories:
1: Conservatives who were angry that NBC & Kelly were going to pretend that a raging crackpot like Jones is emblematic of their values and beliefs.
2: Liberals who think Jones is a complete psycho who should never be giving mainstream airtime to air his loopy conspiracy theories.
3: Jones fans who were sure that Kelly hadn’t given their conspiracy-theorist-in-chief a fair shake. For them, the interview they hadn't seen was an obvious hit piece.
One group into which people did not fall was "Viewers."
If you live in the United States and you own a TV, there's an excellent chance you didn't watch the show. ...Because pretty much nobody did.
From The Hill:
According to early Nielsen data, the first 30 minutes NBC's "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly" was easily beaten by Fox's U.S. Open Golf Championship coverage and CBS's "60 Minutes," which is in summer repeats.
The second half-hour of Kelly's news magazine, after the Jones interview aired, fared even worse, finishing fourth in total viewers while tying ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" for third in the key 18-49 demographic networks covet most.
Kelly's program averaged 3.5 million viewers and had a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49. The program produced the same numbers last week, which were down 42 percent since her debut three weeks ago featuring an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kelly's latest show was a drag on NBC's Sunday primetime numbers overall as the network finished a decided fourth overall.
Now, to be fair, we all know that the Nielsen ratings are a flawed system created by the Bilderberg Group to advance agenda-based programming. The Illuminati decides what you should be watching, then skews the numbers to make you feel like an outsider if you make the wrong choices. It's possible that you really did watch the show, but your viewership was ignored, or added to that of other shows. The "sheeple" were probably watching Twin Peaks last night and they need to wake up - because the fluoride in their toothpaste is steering them away from riveting, socially-relevant, interviews with the people who know what's "really happening."
People, you have to understand!! "They" (and by ‘they’ I mean the inter-dimensional demons) don't want you exposed to the truth and you played right into their hands by ignoring this piece of televised journalism.
Don't be a sucker!
