Dianne Feinstein: There's no law that would have stopped the Vegas attack
Someone didn't get the memo. Laws are ALWAYS the solution.
Uh-oh. Someone had better get ahold of Dianne Feinstein and remind her that the left-wing mantra is "more laws are always better because federal laws solve everything." She needs some kind of a wake-up call because, if her recent Face the Nation interview is any indication, she's gone off the Democrat reservation.
Feinstein has committed one of liberalisms cardinal sins. She's admitted that a mass shooting would not have been prevented by new laws.
You'll note that about 2/3 of the following appearance consists of Feinstein claiming that Congress "has to do something." She mentions banning bump stocks, which seems like something that most people agree on. However, she also suggests legislation that "can't be undone" by the next President.
...Then she undoes all her hard work by admitting that "no." There's no law that would have done anything to stop the Las Vegas shooter. He passed all the background checks that liberals like to pretend we don't have. He had no record, and his alleged mental health issues had never been diagnosed.
So, what does Ms. Feinstein think we should do?
Maybe, just maybe, the problem isn't the gun. ...It's something else.
Dianne Feinstein has been in office - at some level - since 1977. She currently plans to run for re-election. She's 84 years old right now. If she wins, she'd be 85 when her next term begins.
